Strong Asia Network Enhances Agency Scope
BEIJING, May 22, 2008 – Leading mid-sized firm Stanton Crenshaw Communications joined 40 worldwide affiliates here May 22-25 for the 2008 global meeting of the Public Relations Organisation International (PROI) network, an independent group of public relations agencies with offices around the globe. PROI is the oldest international partnership of locally owned independent public relations firms and the largest in the world by fee income.
The three-day conference took place at Beijing’s Peninsula Hotel and brought together 51 representatives, mostly principals, from PROI partner firms. In addition to offering affiliate firms the opportunity to share best practices and collaborate on business initiatives, the conference featured content and local guest speakers providing insights and observations on the cultural and business climate in China, on the eve of the Beijing Olympic Games. The meeting was hosted by partner firm AC Capital, a well-connected China-based strategic PR consultancy.
According to Stanton Crenshaw president Dorothy Crenshaw, the Beijing meeting constituted a particularly strong showing by the PROI Asia network. “We’re very impressed with the strength and depth of our Asia partners, as well as the PROI network overall. The meeting was a highlight of our 10-year history as a PROI partner firm.”
