New York, May 29, 2007 - Stanton Crenshaw Communications, a leading mid-sized public relations firm, announced today that it was honored with two Big Apple awards from the New York City Chapter of PRSA at last Wednesday’s annual award celebration. The two awards recognized agency work for Office Depot, a leading global provider of office products and services, in the categories of Marketing to Consumers and Marketing to Businesses.
The Office Depot back to school campaign, “Organized to Learn,” received the Marketing to Consumers Award. To ease parents’ frustrations in time for the critical back to school season, the program offered strategies to help parents address disorganization in children. By offering solutions in a useful, actionable context, “Organized to Learn” represented a compelling platform for parents and media.
The second Big Apple, in the Marketing to Business category, was awarded for Office Depot’s “Disaster Preparedness: Advice You Can Depend on to Weather Any Storm” campaign. After a ravaging 2005 that saw the U.S. weakened by four headline-making hurricanes, Office Depot was determined to use its knowledge and expertise to help its core small business customers.
The Public Relations Society of America, New York City Chapter, is one of the founding chapters of the PRSA, the world’s largest professional organization for public relations practitioners. PRSA-NY’s Big Apple Awards have recognized excellence in New York area public relations since 1988.
