A Simple and Inexpensive Way to Enhance Wall Décor With the Look of Wood – But None of the Disadvantages
LIVINGSTON, NJ – February, 5, 2007 – Plastpro Inc., a leading supplier of exterior door products in the United States, is moving indoors with the launch of the first interior pre-finished reversible vinyl wainscoting. Made entirely from high strength PVC composite, it’s ideal for protecting halls and other heavily trafficked areas from wear and tear.
Unlike traditional wood, Plastpro’s vinyl wainscoting keeps walls from warping, corroding and rotting. Additionally, it is easy to wash, as well as 100 percent moisture resistant so that it doesn’t attract mold or mildew. While the wainscoting is pre-finished in white and does not require painting, it can be painted should a different color be desired.
“For contractors, architects and homeowners looking for a simple way to enhance and protect walls, installing vinyl wainscoting is an effective solution,” said Franco An, president of Plastpro, Inc. “Our advanced technology has allowed us to manufacture a unique wainscoting that’s not only strong and affordable, but looks fabulous. It’s perfect for kitchens, basements, and bathrooms, and from a maintenance standpoint, an outstanding investment.”
Mr. An added that like traditional wood wainscoting, Plastpro’s vinyl wainscoting panels come in a variety of styles and are cut between 36 and 96 inches in length. However, what differentiates Plastpro’s product is the ability to use either side of the paneling.
“The sides of the wainscoting have different but complimentary designs,” he said. “This gives users a little more flexibility in terms of creating different patterns and looks in the various rooms where it’s being applied.”
3-Step Installation
Installation of Plastpro’s vinyl wainscoting involves a simple three step process that begins with applying a pre-grooved decorative base trim to the wall. From there pieces of the pre-cut wainscot are inserted into the base trim, and then a pre-grooved decorative chair rail is applied at the top.
“Plastpro was built by listening to customers and delivering what they want,” said Shirley Wang, CEO of Plastpro. “Our new vinyl wainscoting is a direct response to what the marketplace is demanding, and will play an important role in continuing to position Plastpro as a leading supplier of composite products for the building and home improvement industries.” Wang noted that Plastpro’s current customers include some of the nation’s largest building companies such as American Building Supply and Stock Building Supply, as well as leading retailers.
In addition to fiberglass entry doors and wainscoting, Plastpro has also begun to manufacturer other building products including composite door jambs, called PF FramesTM, that have structural integrity and are an attractive addition to any entryway.
Plastpro’s vinyl wainscoting product will be available in March 2007.
